Lena Schaffer is a freelance illustrator who has been living and working in Hamburg
for over 10 years. Her work combines narrative illustration with informative elements.
Through humorous scenes, explanatory images, and short visual stories, she creates illustrations that make knowledge accessible in a playful way and invite viewers to explore.
She works in the fields of editorial illustration, infographics, and nonfiction book illustration, as well as hidden-object illustrations and wall designs, for brands, companies, books, magazines, educational projects, and digital formats.
I look forward to new projects, collaborations, and exciting ideas.

Lena has a great knack for coming up with ideas and immerses herself deeply in the subject matter, even historical topics, to develop modern, cohesive illustrations. We especially love how she brings everything to life with her subtle humor and makes the content accessible and relatable. It’s a lot of fun to work and create alongside her. The process was relaxed and went smoothly.
